Rusty is an incredible Chessie that needs a really good home with a strong leader! Rusty is a rescue dog that we have worked with for two years - but both my husband and I have health issues that make continuing next to impossible. I have just had a knee replacement and cannot handle him, so he is exhibiting extreme alpha behavior and taking over the house.

While he has been well trained, he needs some very serious work and lots of attention and love. In our home, he has had the loving attention, but not enough activity and on-going training time.

While generally loving, Rusty can be unpredictable and needs a controlled environment. He has some resource guarding issues that need to be addressed. Rusty is a registered Chessie and a really beautiful dog - but a big handful when he is not being a lap dog.

It breaks my heart to give him up, but my home is not the best place for Rusty at this point - for him or for the humans who live here.
