Thumbs up Utah!!

Hey Utah dock jumpers! Here is a facebook group just for us. Feel free to check it out and join if you so choose… Search “Utah Dock Jumping” on facebook or go to http://www.facebook.com/groups.php#/...id=43446679996 . It was great to see you all in Lehi last week and I look forward to seeing you all in Heber for the Soldier Hollow Dock Jumping Classic…

Group description: This is a group dedicated to all things dock jumping in Utah. It’s abundantly clear that Utah has a huge jumping constituency and fan base thus this group was born. Handlers and fans alike feel free to join and share your comments, experiences, ideas, tips, news, photos and / or vids. Who knows we might even find a place where we can get together and practice! (That, my fellow dock rockers has been a long time coming.)

Red face Utah County practice

Hey,
I have been trying to jump my dog from the Provo boat docks on Sunday mornings around 6:30 or 7. I am going to try and write up some kind of letter or something asking if we can practice at that time and not be required to have our dog on a leash. I had to leave last week because she was not on a leash. We will be entering our first comp. in Heber at Soldier Hollow! Cant wait. Any advise for a first time jumper?

Hey Sonja!

First and foremost welcome to the world of splash dogs. I suggest you dig in because you’re sure to become and addict like the rest of us. Fortunately none of my friends have attempted an intervention at this point (however one might be in the works). The following link is the splash dogs newcomers guide that has plenty of advice for newbie’s. I also noticed you joined our (Utah Dock Jumping) facebook page and I will get you some additional info there as well later on today.

I like your idea about Utah Lake. If you can get a point of contact I will gladly do what I can to assist possibly even enlisting the help of the big dog David himself along the many teams living in Utah County and see if they might jump in and help as well, pun intended.

Advice for the first time jumper? It might sound cliché but HAVE FUN!

Guys, I have one week until I will be running shows for a solid month. Lets get together and get something planned. If it's a small enough group, we can do it at my pool.

Yep… It’s like the cement (Pronunciation: see-ment) ponds of Beverly Hills…

Memorial Day to Labor Day isn’t considered year round?

Default Clubs in Utah

I know the season is about over in Utah, but is there a club in the SLC area to train your dog for jumping. I would love to get my lab started. He loves it!
