Default DoggoneDirty Team - WOW!

Ashley & All the D.G.D. Team.....

You have touched so many lives this weekend you will never know.

The stories that were shared this event were more meaningful than I have ever experienced.

There was a man there w/his wife and his dog who in the last year was battling liver cancer. He had to wait and go through a transplant and so much more. The chances of him living were nonexistent but he kept his dog next to his side the ENTIRE time. His loyal bud kept the faith during all the hard days and nights. During his time of illness he watched the Dock Diving on TV and did nothing but keep his spirit alive by wanting to see & go to an Splash Dog event w/his deserving companion.

Yesterday they arrived for the first time. They considered it a magical time that made that man so unbelievely satisfied that he made it to our event.

That is just a behind the scenes affect of your efforts. The obvious is our Coats for Kids. I hope that we made the 250 goal, and if we did not everyone should know that Coats for Kids continues ALL Holiday Season. It only gets colder out there folks.

Thanks DoggoneDirty Team for all the midnight hours to fill the pool, the smiles and positive energy you kept with you to pull it off.

I would call it a COMPLETE Success and quickly confirm to us that 2010 will be the 2nd Annual..........Will keep our fingers crossed.! So many new Splash Dog members joining aboard, and 1 perfect choc. puppy named Lady that needs to make her mark there too!

Take care, and thanks for all that your team accomplished.
Gianna & A Good Tired Dog..........

I can't Thank everyone enough!! Pearl and I had an awesome time. On Sunday, I had some visitors come and spend the day with me. These are ladies that I have worked at the fair with over 20 years.
The biggest impression y'all made on them besides being fun? Hospitality and Graciousness!!
A very special thanks to Urs for all of her encouragement and help.
And I can't say enough about Mark and Rhonna!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! EXCEPT....Cierra hasn't quit bugging me about a poodle puppy, arrggh LOL

Default DogGone Dirty Rocks!

I love this group - they are like family to me and I am so proud that they have successfully had their first event. Ash, Anna, Mark and Rhonna worked hard to make it happen and it did! You build it and they will come!

Lots of newcomers came out and many already looking for the next Splash Dogs event! Veterans, Jeff and Gianna - thank you for your help around the pool w/wrangling and such. Gianna - as you know I think Dega is oneof the biggest inspirations in the world and I love seeing that girl on the dock! The story about the gentleman from this weekend made me tear up - that is so awesome he could join us! Louise and Naika - I have missed you guys a lot and am so glad that you ladies came out - Naika looked awesome!

More thanks goes out to Classic Cleasners,Cresco Equipment Rentals, Living with Dogs, the Police Department and the Girl Scouts who worked it on the coat front - thanks for all your hard work you guys! And many thanks to all the sponsors of the Tennis Ball Raffle!

JBagby Photography covered the event - I cannot wait to see all the pics, especially from the costume contest! I actually went out Trick or Treating w/Amanda on Saturday night in costume,Thanks for getting us in the spirit!

I want to also give kudos to all of the families who adopted dogs this weekend. There are three lab puppies that will be taking private lessons at the DogGone Dirty facility in the next few months and will be joining the SD Family in 2010! There were a total of 6 dogs that I know of who were adopted at this event, over $1000 donated and I believe we hit 205 coats!

WOOHOO!

I want to echo all the thanks and congrats for a great Halloween event. Doggone Dirty team, Urs & family – you guys pulled off a fun and successful event. Coats for kids, homes for dogs, costumes for nuts…what more could you ask for! Nicky watched very solemnly as I stowed away her fancy Halloween collar. She then got up and left the room as if to say “good riddance to THAT thing!”

See you all soon.
