Hi everyone:
It was over 107 today!!  Here are your top 4 dogs: Tracey & Kona Pete & Cheif Jim & MickeyD: 22' Joe & Bella I don't know the offical number except Kona was over 24 (well) Chief was over 23 and I think Bella was over 20. Tony had to cut some waves and start the finals earlier due to the extreme weather conditons. There was a reason it was called "Hot Summer Splash" Well, there you have it. Yep, it was a hot one for sure! It was nice seeing everyone out there, despite the extreme temperatures. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right! LOL! Gosh am I glad to be back at the beach!
I couldn't be prouder of my Kona. Even in that heat he managed to pull out 24'11" (and 25'4" on Friday). Gosh, if I had half as much energy as he has I'd be golden! I even got my Chase to jump off the dock; about 8 feet actually. Even my 6 month old CBR foster, Crash (very appropriately named!) went off. I guess that heat brings out the need to be in the water. My congratulations to Pete and Chief, who hit a personal best of almost 24' feet! What a GREAT jump that was to watch. These dogs were truly in rare form, especially taking into the consideration the temperature. Urs, Bart, Shari, wish you could have been there. Kona and all of us at the homefront will be routing all of you participating in the Championships next weekend on. KNOCK EM' DEAD for all of us out in the West Coast. Show them how it's done! Bart, I expect text messages on how everyone is doing!

AWESOME! Congrats on the new PB CHIEF!!!
Tracy - wish we could have seen you guys this past weekend also, but I'll tell you 90 degrees is the tops for me temperature wise, 106 would have killed me....nothing would have stopped me from getting in that pool! ![]()

I'm with you Urs! That's why I live at the beach. But believe it or not, it was over 100 there too! And just to clarify, I believe Auburn reached 115 this weekend. We are troupers (not sure if that deserves bragging rights or a straight jacket).

Tracy I'm rolling with the straight jacket myself. Imagine the crew who had to break the set-up down  My poor Jim was one of them. Isn't Splash Dogs just the best?
It was great seeing you and an honor for MickeyD to jump with you in the final 4. By the way Urs Bella had her PB at 22'. Joe was very excited, guess that girl missed her Dad. Urs I will try and call you sometime on Wedensday. Sandra, Jim & MickeyD |

No Sandra, it was an honor for Kona and I to be in the top 4 with Mickey D and Jim; true sportsmen (and celebrities now!). We'll look forward to the opportunity of meeting up in the final 4 again in the future.

Wow - awesome Bella!!!
I can't believe the jumps you guys pulled out in that weather. My dog was cringing being out on the flyball field in the coolest part of the day - it was like 88 degrees and he was running back to his crate looking for water. :? :? Definately a water dog..... Sandra - I'll be waiting for your call on Wednesday
