Hi Urs:
We were there on Saturday. MickeyD jumped 21' and at the 5:00 wave he took a slip on the end of the dock and landed in the water like he had done a back bend. Being the nervous owners we decided not to jump in on Sunday. Just to be cautious. Also it was raining really hard there on Sunday. There was a great turn out of Saturday and we had lots of funning meeting up with our Splash Dog friends and of course meeting new people. I believe Sisko won the event....NOW THERES A SURPRISE!!! Barbara and Ralph hosted a great event. I am sure more information will follow. Bryan Miller and his daughter Meagan made the trip all the way from Washington, two dogs, equipment, daughter and all in a Saturn! Way to go Bryan. Talk to you soon Urs.

BO was hitting in the 19's on Saturday. He may have done a little better if I had focused more on him than trying to create a EV pole. Which turned out to be not such a good investment. Sandra and Jim saved my booty(AGAIN) I love you guys!!!!!
We got a couple jumps with it (Thanks a bunch Mr. Rob Barnhill)till people started looking a little anxious to do some Big Air Jumping. Miss Matches nearly had it down!! A little more Dock Time with BO and she will be extending Vertical Full Throttle!!!.
Then A Little after 5pm Megan and I Left for Aunt Christie's in Quincy (near Reno NV)on Saturday night with intentions of making it back for the 11am wave. Atleast the 2pm finals since BO was qualified.
Well the pass up Mt. Lassen had about 10ft Snow bumpers on the sides of the road.Told Megan they plow it there so if you go off the road it's soft like a bumper
Ofcourse at Hank & Christie's, there is indeed plenty of adult and kid fun to be had.
Which led to not making the 11am wave.
The late start back left plenty of time to make the 2pm Finals(no worries),
WRONG!!
Except the nice dry pavement we went up on somehow magically acquired about 1-1/2 foot of snow on it for the return trip. Us in the Saturn, thankfully I am smart enough to have CHAINS!!
WRONG AGAIN!!!!
Nearest town to far away only answer is back track and head the other way towards Chico. Then come back up I-5. So Let the Pups out to play in the snow. You will never Guess what I saw coming around the corner. NO NO it wasn't the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders lost and cold in their skimpy outfits looking for someone driving a Grey Saturn with two Black Labs, A daughter That would jump in their Bus and warm them up!!!GEEZ
It was a SNOW PLOW!!!!!
"Megan we can just get behind him and he will plow our way like an escort!!!"
Well everyone knows plows do not leave behind them nice dry pavement. but it wasn't to bad. "Don't worry Megan we got them nice bumpers on the sides"
Finally, after a few Kodak moments we run out of SNOW!!!!
Make it back to Redding just in time to catch the tail end of the first wave in the Finals!!
BOcephus with his sense of humor gone after that trip through the Lassen wilderness seemed to be a bit upset that he was scratched from the finals.
Can you believe he stated it was "ALL MY FAULT!!!" Saying Something about seeing me with a Tequila bottle with writing on it he couldn't read. (I don't know what that had to do with anything). That boy just kept it up. Giving me the evil look till I got upset and said something that I regret saying. I told him "Shoot BO what's the difference if your out of the Finals?""You can't even out jump ME!!"
OH boy did that little statement upset him.
OH yea he started challenging me over and over. Saying he whooped my BUTT in San Fransisco. I still believe I kicked his Butt!!
Finally I could take no more!!! "Alright boy!!!" "Prepare for a Butt whooping!!" "I accept your Challenge!!!"
Finals get over and Up on the Dock we go!!!!I was evenbeing a good sport and told him I would toss his Ca. Stick(Yes it Floated). He agreed to start at the halfway point and I could get a full Run from the end!!
Okay, when I tossed the stick I got one of those Twitches in my shoulder and it made me do a short throw. Only went to the 5' mark. It was to late to try another throw so I took off down the Dock, Reached where BO was and said GO!! Man even with my head start he beat me to the end of the Dock. But (this is where he is once again trying to blame me)he jumped only to where the stick was and I flew right over the top of him!!!!! Yes indeed I kicked his booty like a RedHeaded Step Child !!!!!
Now all the way home he is trying to say I threw the stick short on purpose.. "I would never do that BO!! I Love you!" I kept trying to tell him. You know, I at times have a bad throw.. Still he don't believe me. Saying He has seen me throw it to far and it goes out of the pool,or Sometimes Break Lights but never saw it thrown that short. "But my shoulder BO" "You know it is bad."
Sympathy not working!!! He'll come to realise that I indeed went further and eventually he will get over it. But it sure made for a long ride home!!!
Speaking of that I got the car unpacked at 4:15am went to work at 5:30am and just got home at 6:45pm. No sleep for the wicked!!
Was it worth it?? I ask myself. #**#@## A!!!! YES IT WAS!!!!!
You know you had lots of fun when at the last gas stop your counting your change to fill the tank (or your just poor white trash )

Good to hear to made it home safely.
Sounds like you had a good visit. You mention you went to Quincy California. Thats where Quincynos daddy lives. That is how he got the name Quincy.

Brian - you never cease to amaze me, wish I could have come just to see the jump off between Bo and Brian.

MickeyD seems to be just fine...it's his parents that are whackey! Although June is just around the corner I can hardly wait for the event! I have to travel a whole 1/2 mile!!! I know you can't come down Bryan because of Matthew's graduation but it will be so much warmer for you to have a jump off with Bo! :lol: I wish I could have seen you jump in Redding. It's no wonder you don't get sick!

I am so happy for you!!! They say once a person comes to realise their Whackyness the road to recovery is (sorry) never found.
But what a fun road it is!!!!!
I truely admire You and Jim and definately look forward to seeing you very soon!!!\
Schedule a event for the second week in July and we will be there!!!
We will be taking seven days in the Sacramento and surrounding area..
Must does from the Boss,(Kids) Disneyland, Hollywood, the Boardwalk
Hopefully see everyone again then!!!
