Default Anybody going to Scottsdale

Is anyone planning to go to the Scottsdale competition? Is that a good competition for a rookie to go to to try a first jump or is it for more experienced teams? If anyone has any input, we would appreciate it! Thanks.

Renegade and I are planning on going to Scottsdale, but since I've only done one competition so far I can't provide too much input! I can say that SplashDogs and everyone at the competition made us feel really welcome and I didn't feel like a newbie for too long. I can't imagine that this event would be different other than it might be a bit bigger with more people due to it being more than just a dock diving competition. I know a bunch of my agility friends plan on trying it out if they can get away from agility long enough.

If you are there, I hope I meet you!

Wendy and Renegade.

Hi there

Any event is a great event for a newbie. There is always someone, usually several someones, to help get you started. I am hoping to go to Scottsdale with my 2 labs. One of them went to 3 events before he would even jump off the dock. He now jumps an amazing 3 feet 1 inch & he has a blast doing it. I hope to increase him up to four feet

Please go there and "have fun". That's what it is all about. I hope we can meet up there as it's always nice to meet new faces & visit with the old ones

Marilyn:
How is Phoebe doing? Do you think you'll make it to Auburn? I sure hope so.

Hi Sandra

Well, Phoebe is feeling better, thanks for asking, however last week in Dunkin's agillity class he knocked me down & I killed my knee. I can bend it now but since it still hurts alot, my husband is leary about going up there with me injured as well as Phoebe not up to herself. I was planning on spending most of the practice time with Dunkin but as you saw at Wags, he is a handful when he gets excited so I'm not sure about going up & down those steps. I haven't canceled the reservation in Auburn cuz I'm hoping for a quick cure but we shall see...If we don't make it to Auburn, I may go up to Scottdale in November which will give us alot of time to recuperate by then.

Take care everyone, & dedicate a jump in Reno for me & Phoebe.
Hey Randy, Mary, Kaua, I wish I could see you guys before you go...

Hi Marilyn:
You bet we will dedicate a jump for you and Phoebe. I know what I will do, I'll ask MickeyD to sit/stay for you, do you think that will make a difference!! HA  Hope your feeling better real soon, so glad you have not canceled Auburn, keep the faith!
