Default The best neurologist?

Hey everyone,
Borias has had back issues for the past three years, having had a laminectomy two years ago. About 5 months ago, he re-injured the same disc from a leap off a high dog wash. I've seen a recheck with his operating vet, but he doesn't seem to be much help (Dr. Lipsitz). Then saw Dr. Hampel, who said surgery is highly risky with all his scar tissue, and could leave him worse than before. Got another vet in Ventura who just read the MRI via mail and emailed that if his quality of life is good, don't do surgery, but if it isn't then do it. OK.

So we've been doing acupuncture, chiropractic, water therapy, herbs, etc. He's having neurological deficits, toe scuffing, general weakness, and some urinary incontinence. Nothing is helping. Last night, he seemed to take a turn for the worse, and the incontinence was more, and he tripped several times on a walk, and his hind end more wobbly. I'm getting really scared again. Not sure what to do.

I think the only neurologists to get an opinion from now are Dr. Levitsky-Osgood at VSH, or Dr. Stephens at Veterinary Surgical Specialists. Any recommendations?

Tami and Borias
