Just got an update from our friend Dean Skillman.
Missy and Dan Jacobs win the Incredible Dog Challenge in St. Louis. Sisko comes in 2nd. Gunner takes 3rd. Sounds like all the dogs were jumping big. Missy is definately on Fire. We had a chance to jump with her at the DockDogs event at the Kansas City Nascar event last weekend. She is looking awesome. She will be one to recon with at the DockDogs Nationals this coming weekend in Kansas City. All the dogs will have to be at the top of their game at that one. Hope to see you all there. |

Talked to Rob shortly after the jump. They were all fairly close and Rob and Bart were very excited. He gave me the jump numbers but I was in the car and now I can't find them...they were all over 28" (measured from the nose) just can't trust people over 60, huh?

CONGRATS DAN AND MISSY MU!!! 28.10
After judging Missy's jumps at the Chicagoland DockDogs club, I knew she'd be a tough dog to beat if she was on top of her game at Purina's IDC! And she not only proved me right, she set a new world record at the same time! :-) Lots of congrats out to Rob and Sisko for taking 2nd with a 28.08 and to Bart and Little Gunner for taking 3rd with a 28.05!! The top three dogs were only separated by 5 inches--pretty close game! Congrats for all the other handlers and dogs too! It was great to be down there for the event and see some old faces doing a great job with some very talented dogs! It was a beautiful weekend with great weather and great people! Since Dan brought it up later on Saturday after the jumping...here's my top 4 favorites from the weekend! (4) The catering and service that Purina does for the competitors including the food/beverage tent, the free goodies and t-shirts, the competitor guest passes, the dinner on Friday night, that awesome video footage, etc. etc. etc. (3) Spending time with Bart and Little Gunner! ;-) (2) Catching up with Mike McWillams and Terri Alexander! (long time no visit!) Plus an early morning "hi" to wanderer Brent Ohlson too! :-) (1) MISSY MU! MISSY MU! MISSY MU! MISSY MU! :-) And thanks to April and Luke for coming along and making it an even better trip![/img]

Congratulations Guys!!!
Job well done!!! Can't wait to see it on T.V. Does anyone know when it is going to be televised? P.S. Bart, I tried your signature move this weekend and Maximus was flying at Lancaster, He was getting pretty vertical. When I get some of the pictures back I will post them.

Yes I am, It was with a wubba though not a bumper. I need to work on it a little more though as I seem to be throwing it to the right a little to much. Next time I will try it with a bumper. I like the name "Richardson Flick" . I hope you don't mind Bart, but I might be using that move from now on. I even used the "Richardson Lean" on the dock. It's a little scary as Maximus hit my left arm coming down the dock and I thought I was going to be in the pool for sure that day.
