Have you tried her on Clomicalm?? If not, it might be worth a shot.

She's on a half a pill once a day right now and she's been on that for awhile but it dosen't seem to stop the problem---believe me we have tried everything from a Ruff Tuff bandage to a Vet even injecting Cobra venom(what ever that was going to do I don't know). Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, the problem, if it's a wet wound is not so much a contagion problem to the other dogs, but a bacterial issue for her. She could pick up something in the pool, as the dogs are in and out all weekend, taking potential nasties from the ground in with them. I have a friend with a Golden that had a similar problem with his feet. They did all kind of tests for allergies and such and just couldn't find a problem. It's often an anxiety or boredom issue that causes them lick - sort of a displacement behavior.

Bailey's leg is in the process of healing now (last week and a half we have been successful in keeping her away from it without her cone). I think we are going to leave her home and bring one of our other labs. Lucky for you guys because I think Bailey would have been a real contender for all the dogs in the event LOL. Does any one have a way to contact Tony?
