Default Not sure just yet......

Hey you!

Not sure just yet, so glad you guys are going. Bay Street is what is listed on line and she does have a website for more info, see the earlier portion of this string.

Bay street is to me downtown Capitola, I am wondering if there is a street set up going down there and we will be set up with them???

Not too sure yet, have not got on line to research, just so excited to go!

Please drive safely, are you bringing your RV? There are some great places in Aptos near by to stay.

Call me any time for any help. 408.238.1225

Love me & Dega

The event will be held in the Nob Hill shopping center parking lot. There is a long narrow section, that we have permission to close off. There is plenty of parking in the main shopping center, and the event will be walking traffic only. There is some space for tent set up, but no RV parking right there. May be possible to park in main lot.

On a different note, congratulations to Rhonna on her new puppy Carma (I know she's spelling it with a C, just don't know if there's an H in it too). Her husband puts all others to shame, first building her a dock in the back yard, then surprising her with a puppy and party 2 weeks early for her birthday. She' a beautiful blue standard poodle, and I know she'll be posting pics of her very soon.

Smile On line Donations?

Thanks for the details Ashley,

I have out of state family that would like to make donations but not sure how to go about it. I tried that website link from Stanford and searched but couldn't find anything.

Tried "kids for coats" search and kept coming up with Ursula's great advertising for the event.

Is there something people from afar can do on line, or do we just need to have them mail out funds and then I can get them a jacket?

The word is spreading quicker than I was ready for.....

Actually... Bay Federal has set up a checking account under "Coats for Kids" that people can make donations to. You can call any Bay Federal branch (sorry computer dumped all of my numbers I had saved) and can make monitary donations to the account. The donations are tax deductable, and the tax ID number is 94-1186197. Hopefully that will help out a little.

Gianna, thank you so much for helping get the word out about our event. We have a lot of people hoping this event is a success, and with everyone's help, it can be. It has been in 4 newspapers, 3 tv stations, and on 2 radio stations. There are fliers posted everywhere, as well as sending out 3500 to the SC school district. We are hoping for some good turn out. The Girl Scouts are helping out, we are having K9 demos, agility demos and try outs, CCI will be there, as well as numerous dog adoption groups. If you can think of anyone else who might want to have a booth set up, we do have some spots left.

Even with all the help, we are still looking for about 12 more baskets for the tennis ball jump. I know that everyone is busy this time of year, but I know we can do it. If anyone has anything they would like to donate to the event, please let me know.

Default 250 Coats For Kids Goal......2 Days Left

Hello Everyone,

The weather man last week kept trying to predict a 40% chance of rain for this Halloween weekend. Ms. Dega & I absolutely made the trip to see Mother Nature and let her know that there could be no way in heck she could rain on our parade. Therefore she reconsidered and pushed it out to the following Thursday.

Since that is now out of the way, please allow me to just remind everyone how proud we are of this upcoming weekends event.

This season Ashley's spirit and enthusiasm to make a difference set a goal of 250 Coats for kids at the Splash Dog Event. Warmth for children that have nothing. It is a wonderful concept that Dega's fans & I all support.

We hope that you will take the time to come out and participate in the great fun it will be. Don't forget bring a new coat for a kid and get 1 free wave (1 per dog). I went to Ross and purchased 3 boys jackets and let me tell you it was less than a wave. However, these jackets will last this season on 3 boys somewhere and that impacts our world to be a better place.

You never know the difference you can make. We are 2 days away from Splash Dogs in Capitola. Please consider Coats for Kids even if you can't make it to the event.

Ashley has so kind enough posted all the great details on how we can contribute.

I hope to see many of you but know that w/Cyno & other previous exciting events, Capitola is a long haul.

Locals out here in Santa Cruz/San Jose are very excited to support a great cause and have a blast with the Halloween Spirit!!

Love me & Ms. Talla Dega

Default Thanks Gianna

Thanks Gianna!
It means a lot to me that more than myself is excited about making a difference for the local kids. I tend to run with my ideas, and sometimes others aren't as interested. I know that there are many people out there not as blessed as we are, and I am passionant about helping helping them.

REI has dontated 3 bags of last year's coats, and all the Doggone Dirty Team has purchased coats (eventhough my new pup won't be jumping, he will be swimming) and many people from work have offered coats as well. I am hoping to make this event a huge success, and have it be an annual happening.

There will also be numerous adoption agencies, Canine Companions for Independance and agility demos and try outs. Please bring a costume for your dog, and enter the costume contest and jump. Please buy a ticket for the tennis ball jump, the money will go to buy even more coats for the kids.

If you would like to "donate" your dog for people who do not have a jumper, but would like to be a part of the tennis ball jump, please email me at fanceepony@hotmail.com . We have a few dogs already, but could use a few more.

Thanks everyone for your participation, and hope to see you there!

Default We WILL Make the 250 Goal!

Your welcome Ashley, but the thank you is to you my dear. It takes a lot of energy to lead something like this. I have watched Ursula & Team Mickey D pull events for fundraising and I admire their endurance.

You have done a fantastic job advertising this and we WILL make that goal for you.

Ms. Talla Dega is bringing 3 jackets & 3 Tennis Ball Raffle Prizes. In addition her family and friends are making donations from all over the US to Bay Federal. Co-workers have donated jackets as well, so we hope to be arriving w/a total of 10 jackets.

Ms. Talla Dega is MORE than willing to be a donated dog for the tennis ball jump. It was not until Auburn that I believed my dog would go get a ball being such a freak about only bumpers! LOL.

Looking forward to a great success.
Sincerely,
Gianna & Ms. Talla Dega

'Just sent a short video of Talladega's triumphant return to dock diving in January of this year to the email address. (also a cute picture of G and Dega getting ready by the dock)

We will be there tomorrow with a coat to donate and we're also going to give a donation for each wave to help battle K9 cancer!

love,
Louise
& Dega's GSD friend Naika

PS Any up at this late hour with advice on parking? Have degenerated ankle and can't walk too far.

Thanks, Ashley, and the Doggone Dirty crew for all your efforts to bring us another NorCal event before the season ends -- and especially one that benefits others too! We're getting the SUV packed including coats and will see everyone tomorrow!
