Inspiration and Determination
Gianna and Dega....
I don't think anyone in this sport has been more deserving of this award! You exemplify all that is good! I am extremely proud of both of you for what you have endured. Congratulations.... Dave, Erin, Ginger and Chloe!!

All Tears with So Much Love........
Oh goodness, if I can wipe away the tears from the love in these comments, I would make you laugh when I tell you I don't know about this nor do I know what it means!
Too funny. Dega has brought me some and maybe the ONLY award I will get in my life, coming from such amazing and loving people.........and I don't even know what it represents! Must be something to do w/inspiration. Ms. Talla Dega sure has lots of that for all of us here and gone........those to come and those to go. I CANNOT wait till I can grab Urs's focus and create Dega girls dream & mine too. I guess I will get downloaded and never forgiven for not understanding what a Gabe award is. What's even funnier was I checked my home e-mails first, and Sandra sent me a Congratulations and we love you.....that's all she gave me THE BRAT! Did not know why, know I kinda do...... too funny, thanks for the love, forever support and all the DIFFERENCE YOU TEAMS MAKE IN ALL OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dega & I just got home from hunting all weekend, and we are both good and tired. I love all you, and hope to hug and smile in person sooner than later! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!! Gianna, here is what the Gabe Award is per Urs:
2009 Gabe Sportsmanship Award:The handler (and his/her dog) who showed the best sportsmanship and was an ambassador for the sport all year. Todd Bobula and Gabe were a team that have been a part of dock jumping since the beginning. Todd and the sport were saddened to lose Gabe last year, so we decided to remember him through this award. How did you do hunting??

You are too funny....
You and Dega have provided inspiration to many. I believe this is the third time this award has been given. Of course the first year Todd and Gabe won the award and I believe Craig and Stanley won it last year. Once again this award goes to someone that really deserves it. Has the best interest of the sport in her heart and most importantly has the best interest of her pup comes first. To know that you and Dega were out hunting this weekend even makes this award better.....Dega and you were doing what you love!! Bless you and Dega.....and what you have given to all of us!! Dave

Oh sorry big guy I have to correct you. Todd never won the award the first year it was awarded to Ursula. Yes, this award was created for the memory of the team, Gabe & Todd who always went out of his way to help new handlers!

Gianna,
The accomplishments, enthusiasm, team spirit, and the equitable way you promote the sport of Dock Diving are all wrapped up in the Gabe Award you received. Most deserving is an understatement for Gianna and how she represents the sport. Congratulations on a “job well done” and please accept my apologies for not being able to attend the festivities and pass the torch from one Gabe to another. See you on the dock soon.
