Just wanted to give everyone and update on JJ. Spoke to her yesterday and her spirits remain good! Liz, from her flyball team, brought her all kinds of goodies for Thanksgiving!
JJ may be released some time this week and continue with the IV antibiotics at home. Let's continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers...cause it's working!
Give her a call she would love to hear from you. She is enjoying the cards and well wishes!

I spoke with JJ this morning and she has had a little setback. She started vomiting the other day and they did some further tests which where negative. I guess it was due to some medication they had her on as they have stopped those meds and the vomiting has stopped. They are still working on the chance that she can be released but I don't think that is going to happen in the next few days. Her spirits remain good and she is enjoying the cards...so let's keep them coming.
She finally got my care package which took an incredible 10 days for her to receive. I know Gianna sent one also but she still has not received that one! Mail is slow at the hospital, I guess!

Thanks for the update, Sandra! I was happy to see how spunky JJ was on Thursday when I stopped by. She is about as tough as they come and I have no doubt she'll get past this latest setback. Thanks again for the update! I haven't had a chance to call yet this week!

Here is the latest on JJ. Just got off the phone with her. Please continue with the get well cards as she is really having a rough time. You know when your in a hospital bed your always thinking you want to go home and you will be better, well it doesn't always work that way. She has to go for infusions daily, her Dad drives her and she has to use a walker and wheelchair. She is completely exhausted with just the simplest of tasks.
When you feeling so bad a simple card can bring a smile to your face so please think of her and send one off.
Gianna: She never did get your package so look for it to come back to you.
Stacie: She never got any of your cards so they may come back to you.
Her home address is on this thread.
Thanks for caring.
Sandra
Please send her a smile!

Cool Oops?

Thanks for the update Sandra, I'll keep an eye out for the cards ( I had put some pics of her & the dogs dock diving, maybe I didn't put enough postage?)

I spoke to JJ this morning and she is so thankful for all of the cards! She said he really breaks up the monotony! So let's keep them rolling in for her.
The doctor said it will be months before she can walk! Her Dad takes her in daily for her IV antibiotics and it is really difficult with the walker/wheelchair and snow! She really wants to thank everyone but is not able to get up to get on her computer.
A reminder of her address so you can keep those happy thoughts to her:
JJ Bowen

Carson City, NV 89706
Gianna: She did get your care package
Stacie: She never did get your card
Thanks again everyone who has been so kind to send her get well wishes, she truly appreciates it.
