Default Crating Area At OC Costa Mesa Pet Expo

Hi Everyone. I just went to set up my canopy at the OC Pet Expo and found out the scoop on where you can and cannot set up your stuff. I set up all of my things in the wrong location, and then had to move it all over to the correct place. So, this information will save you from doing the same!

Vit and Tony were told by the Pet Expo poeple where we are to put our canopies, kennels, chairs, coolers, etc The following details that information.

There are two pools. One is the competition pool. It is located where the pool was last year. It is the one with the three spectator stands surrounding it and the judges table is situated between two of the stands. You cannot put any canopies, kennels, coolers, etc etc etc over in that area. That area is only for the spectators and the dogs standing in line for the dock. It is a large area, and part of that area on the side and back side of the pool will have canopies, but they are for exhibitor canapoies only. The Expo has designated specifies places for the exhibitors who are sellling things, etc. to put up their stations.

The other pool is the practice pool. It is located just on the other side of the competition pool where there used to be a building, but now the building has been torn down. The two registration tents are directly in front of this practice pool. To the side of the registration tents is the area where you are to put your canopies, kennels, chairs, coolers, etc etc etc. There is plenty of room and it is on grass. It is a very nice location. And all of us and our dogs and our stuff will be set up together in one place. If we run out of room, then there is another very nice grassy area located just behind it with a large tree that we think we will be allowed to use for spillover.

Hope this information helps.

See you there.

Default Directions

If you are coming from the # 405 freeway, take the Fairview offramp and drive about 1 mile and then turn left on Arlington Street. Then turn right into Gate #4. You park in that parking lot off to the left and then walk through the gate into the Pet Expo. They let cars go into the Expo through that gate between 8am - 9am to drop off things if they are exhibitors and have a pass. You must be out by 9am. I do not know if they will let cars in without an exhibitors pass, but take your registration form that you printed off the computer that shows that you are preregistered and you may be able to use that to get in and drop things off. In addition, I think you will need that form in order to get your tickets from "will call".
