Default It's a sad day for Splash Dogs

Hello all:
We lost "The Voice" of Splash Dogs, Greg Abner, last night. There are no words to express my sadness right now. Jim and I have known Greg and his wonderful family since Splash Dogs began.
We are left with many fond memories of The Voice sharing his often silly jokes, but how I wish we could hear them one more time. I will never forget the watch one!
I am sure Greg is up with our pups at the Rainbow Bridge probably telling Cash to please sit!
You will be missed, my dear friend.

Thumbs up Heaven is brighter

When Tinka and I started jumping, it was always Greg's voice you could count on to give you that extra little 'nudge' if you were nervous. And it was always Greg's voice that would put a smile on your face,( after you threw the ball out of the pool). And yes it was always "The Voice" that made it all good. May you enjoy all the sun , dogs and blessings that you so deserve. RIP Greg..

I am also saddened today by the loss of "the Voice"...Greg Abner....Greg was one of the first people to welcome me into the Splash Dogs family and he was one of the reasons it was a family. "The Voice" kept us all entertained in between jumps, w/his great music, anecdotes and jokes. always seeming clever and witty. Greg was a good ol boy who loved his family and I was blessed to be a part of his extended family. Greg - your voice and your presence will truly be missed, God Bless you and may you rest in peace...

Default when it rains it pours

From the 2005 ISE Pomona, to the Art Bark Festival in Squaw Valley, Greg was the soundtrack to most of my time jumping Chief. That first year jumping I saw more of Greg and his family than my own. It was a blast. To top off a really crappy week, Lorry and I just lost our beagle, Reagan. I still have four hounds but basically this is the first time in almost eighteen continuous years that I don't have a house dog. Our house is so lonely and sad and now the seemingly bottomless pit of sorrow I have been drowning in since Reagan's death has found an even deeper, darker depth with this horrible news. Back then jumping the circuit was something special and everybody involved treated each other like family right up to the final four and ribbon ceremonies. I'm going to get drunk now. -Pete

Pete and Lorry I am so sorry to hear about Reagan, I know how much you loved him.
Yes Greg Abner reminded us that this was all about having fun, remember it was his number one rule! He brought such a friendly atmosphere and made us all feel like Rock Stars when we were on the dock! He also reminded us of what was important and that was family! We are all so lucky to have been a part of his extended family.
Yes, Greg will be missed by many but we shall never forget the life lessons he has taught us.
