Hi. I'm new to SplashDogs, but not new to dock diving. We just had our very first Canadian Event this past weekend (Yahoo! It was a blast!) and we had 5 or 6 dogs doing SV. My little dog, Jynx, and her brother, Tactix, who are both lap dogs, competed and both made grabs. Anyway, my question is: Are there titles for SV in SplashDogs? I don't see anything about it in the rules.
Thanks! |

Sorry I can't answer your question but did want to say congratulations. I have a lapdog and this past weekend we had 3 lapdogs at the RC event make grabs. It is amazing what these little dogs can do and great to hear other people are out there competing. I heard Tactix also had some amazing big air jumps. Way to go!

This weekend in Rancho Cucamonga we had our first SV divisional finals. ( Under 6'2 and Over 6'2) It was great to see that as most events only have been combined together. It is true that most events do not have enough for that to take place but I was glad to see it at this very large SV event. Quite possibly if the trend continues with the Lap Dogs becoming popular in both classes we might at some point be able to have a Lap dog SV final as well, but I would assume the event would need to be populated with significantly more. Congrats on your big jumps and successes. Hopefully someday us Lap Dog folks will all meet at an event for one heck of a spectator showdown.:-))

and I didn't quite read your message correctly so offered you more info then needed ( probably because I'm excited to see more lap dogs doing SV) but there is no divisional SV titles as far as I know.

Hey, thanks! Any info is helpful. I am just so happy that SplashDogs starts SV at 4 feet and has a big air division for the lap dogs. We have a lot of big-jumping lap dogs in Canada. Little Tactix pulled off a 22'6" this past weekend. Both he and Jynx earned their Extreme Lap Dog titles - first in Canada - so we're pretty proud of them.
