Default Getting Involved

I live in Minnesota...i have a 6 month old Labrador Retriever...I've never seen any splashdog events in Minnesota...but would love to get my dog involved. He has Elm Creek Bloodlines and both his grandparents were dock dogs. and as you all know...its just in a lab's blood.
Can anyone help me find where who we can contact in Minnesota to get my dog trained and involved in events?

There is an Ultimate Air Dogs event coming up in Minneapolis at the Minneapolis Pet Expo the weekend of the 16th. It's FREE, and would be a great opportunity for you to meet other dockjumpers from your neck of the woods. check out www.ultimateairdogs.com

Also, if you go and get hooked, and don't mind a road trip, there is a splashdogs event in Ohio that will be super fun, in March.

Thanks so much for the information...this might be the type of thing we've been looking for

Hey MohawkMojo!

Sounds like you're talking about some of Jon Hannegrefs dogs! Jon's dog Harley is for sure an incredible jumper--very powerful and very fast! Also a great hunting machine too!

If you go to the Pet Expo--you may see them there. I know they've gone to that event in the past. In fact, they took second place in the finals last year.

If you need some great contact people in your area, let me know! I'm a WI girl and know most of the competitors from the MN area.

Good Luck!

Both of his grandparents are John Hannegrefs.....Bailey Ann and Harley Rhodes. His Fathers name is Elm Creek Otter and Mother is Bailey Jolenes Irish Cream whos damsel and sire are from Christians Sir Herman Huntz and HoneyDew Drop.....my dogs full name is Sir Charels Winston VI....lol they wouldnt let me give him the III....I guess I've watched too much "M.A.S.H." huh?
Anyhow, Hubby and I are considering going to the event in Minneapolis depending on my health and financial situation. I'm very excited about getting Charlie involved in this.
BTW....my sister still has 4 of Charlies siblings to find homes for...if you know of anyone....send me an email and I can give you my phone number...Theyre getting big now and harder for her to handle 6 dogs at home...
