To get a little bit of talk going on here.
What is the single most proudest moment you have shared with your dog big or small? and don't be shy now. ops: ops: Mine is probably in Long Beach when Maximus did SV for the first time and pulled down that bumper and went back to back 5 times before missing. It wasn't very high heights that he did, but he still made me very proud that day. ![]()

My proudest moment of Sadie is when she first started riding my jet ski. She jumped on at 6 months old and now at 2 1/2 years old she still loves it and likes speeds up to 40 mph....(smooth water that is) She loves riding thru London Bridge in Lake Havasu sitting so proud in front of me, barking the whole way thru...she gets lots of looks, laughs and people clapping at her.

Well she hasn't shoved me off yet, but she sure lets me know when she is ready. We can be sitting in a cove somewhere and when she is ready she will start barking at the ski and even jump on and stand there till I get ready and take her out. She's such a spaz. :-), but I love her.

Ok - mine is competition related, and yes it involves his biggest jump. In San Mateo this year, let me set the scene, rain all day long, muddy looking pool, spectators getting soaked and i release gunner - there he goes, the jump didn't look too bad, when Greg announced "are you ready for this Ursula" pause "22'11"!" I was floored, soaked and hugging anyone I could then looking at my soaked boy, I could swear he had a smile on his face as big as mine!
8) 8) 8) 8) by the way this is the same day that I fell in the pool helping a friends dog take his first jump! Still trying to live that one down....lol

I'm sure his smile on his face was as big as yours. I was cracking up when I read the falling into the pool part. I haven't see that happen yet, but it's my biggest fear. :-)

Oh let me tell you, it was hilarious!!!   I'm sure all of those who were there could comment. When I fell in, the dog just stood there on the dock barking at me, I stood up and said "now that I am in, you have to come in" he kept barking and barking and I kept coaxing him, yes it was still raining...lol
He eventually jumped right in straight into my arms, but, it was in the pool, SUCCESS!!!! Getting out of the pool was even funnier... gosh, what an incline that darn ramp is, got 3/4 of the way up it and couldn't go any further. I think Tony finally helped pull my butt out....Pete mentioned this at the last event in Auburn, must have been quite memorable if after 4 months we're still laughing about it. By the way - everyone was so helpful after, getting me dry clothes. Tony donated a new Splashdogs shirt and i got some really cool shoes at the event - waterproof!

I have had alot of proud moments with Phoebe but I'll have to say that the last Splash Dogs event at the Pet Expo in Costa Mesa would be my proudest. On Sunday, Phoebe had "Dead Tail" & was not feeling her usual spunky self and I almost scratched her from the finals. I ended up trying her out with all my friends' support & she jumped in the finals with her TWO personal best jumps of 22' 11" & 22' 10". What a star performer! Her previous Splash Dogs competition she was jumping about 15-16' and I was getting lessons on how to throw her toy into the pool. BTW, I, too, have 'stepped' into the pool during practice while walking backwards. Phoebe just jumped on my head and got me wetter. NOT my proudest moment...
ops: Actually right now is a very proud moment with her. I had to put my oldest dog to sleep this past Friday as well as had my mom's funeral on Wednesday and she has been by my side with her brother, Dunkin, loving on me all weekend. She went with me to the vet's for moral support and she has been a great inspiration to me with all the love she can give. Anyway, see everyone at Wags. We are looking to have some fun! Marilyn
