Went over to the Dock in Redwood City to get in some practice with Makena and Gaea & Family.......sad to see some kind of "oily film" on the water, probably from the recent Oil Spill from the tanker hitting the bridge a few weeks ago. We decided not to risk jumping the dogs in the icky water.
![]() Just thought we'd give a heads-up to anyone planning to go over there in the near future. Stacie, Gil (Tech Support), Makena (PB 24'5") & Mollie (Oh Pleeeeeze!, I don't wanna mess up my hair!) Last edited by DogMom : 11-24-2007 at 10:10 PM. Reason: correction |

I was there on Saturday morning, and didn't notice any film. Hopefully it is gone.
It was cold as heck though! I could hear Sheba cussing me out for making her jump.

Hello...can someone tell us how to get to this dock? We went to our first event today and the kids loved it...they want more..and more practice!
Any others in the bay area that can be used for practice?? Thanks. |

I think that dock is the best place. It is quite and there were literally no people every time I went. (except for the occasional fellow dock jumper).
If I remember correctly, from 101 North you would take Ralston Avenue exit, and turn right on the light. Then make a right into Lagoone Drive. Park between buildings 2 and 3. But once you are there, you pretty much will see it.

Hello all.....
Anyone been out to the dock lately to see if the oil is lingering? Hoping with all the rain that things are getting flushed out and collected. I was wondering if there is needed community clean up at these docks, that maybe a group of us wearing our new BADD gear could get out there and do some clean up w/permission and awareness. Might find we get some crazy chance to have our own designated dock somewhere who knows....... Anyways, just a wild out of the box kind of idea.....any positive or negative feedback is appreciated..... Gianna & Dega |
