Default 2 Month Old Female Labs

On Friday I pulled two absolutely adorable, approximately two month old, black, female labs from the Riverside Shelter. They have been affectionately named Kit and Kat (courtesy of my husband, Tang). As you can tell from the photos, they both have mange (demodectic) and have lost some of their hair, Kit moreso than Kat. Because the shelter believed they would not be adopted due to their condition, they were going to euthanize them. I just did not have the heart to stand for that so here they are. ;-p

These two girls are wonderful (for labs, of course! LOL!). They are social, silly, intelligent and sweeter than chocolate. They are being treated for the mange and hopefully with a great diet and supplements, their hair will start to grow back very soon. Kit is the more affectionate of the two, although it's relatively speaking because Kat is also very affectionate. Kat is a born retriever, showing great enthusiasm for the tennis ball being thrown through the dining room/kitchen. Kit retrieves but not with the same desire as Kat.

If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be interested in adopting Kit or Kat, please see our website for our adoption process. www.cbrrescue.org. The adoption fee is $400 and includes the mange treatment, worming, vaccinations, microchipping and spay. They have also had fecals/parvo tests done which were clean. It's rare that the adoption fees cover our expenses for the dogs and Kit and Kat are not going to be an exception. They are going to make excellent family members.

They are doing great. Thanks for asking, Greg. All the flakiness is gone and hair is starting to sprout. That's a good sign. Kit will have a longer process than Kat, but she's such a good girl and has no idea. These two are a couple of the most well-socialized pups I've seen. Great personalities. And of course they are spoiled rotten at Chez Tracy and Tang. They are learning their basic obedience, having to sit and wait for their dog bowl, and are very smart little girls. Both treat/food motivated which makes training so much easier. I'll get some more pictures and upload them.
