Splash Dogs New Titles & Award Program

Splash Dogs is pleased to announce that we will be initiating a new Title and Awards Program in 2008. This program will provide a way for our comeptitors to continue to accomplish new titles and have new goals as they continue to compete with Splash Dogs.

The new titles and awards will be retroactive to the date that your dog began competing with Splash Dogs. The next mailing of Title Certificates will go out in March, if your dog has earned any of the new titles or awards, they will be included in that mailing. The website will be updated with new titles at the end of February.

Titles:
Within each Wave of competition at a Splash Dogs event, a Team can secure one leg toward a Division Title based on their longest jump. A Title is earned by accumulating five legs within one division, (prior to January 1, 2008 required four legs). If a Team competes in the Finals, they will also earn one division leg based on their longest Finals jump.

Additional title levels have been added to allow teams to continue to accomplish new titles and goals as they continue to compete with Splash Dogs; Bronze – 10 jumps within a division, Silver – 25 jumps within a division, Gold – 50 jumps within a division and Platinum – 100 jumps within a division.

Once a title has been earned, the Team may be referred to by its Title and the appropriate initials can be added to the end of the dog's name.

Frequent Flyer Program
The Frequent Flyer Program is a special achievement award which tracks the total distance a team has achieved in its career with Splash Dogs. All jumps including 1st and 2nd jumps in a competition wave are tracked.

Frequent Flyer Bronze 660 Feet (1/8 mile)
Frequent Flyer Silver 1320 Feet (1/4 mile)
Frequent Flyer Gold 2640 (1/2 mile)
Frequent Flyer Platinum 5280 (1 mile)

OK, I still have to work on generating the web pages and the statistics for the frequent flyer achievement awards, but I did just put up the new titles for bronze/silver/gold/platinum titles!

If you are wondering exactly how many jumps you have in a division, as ursula mentioned, visit:

Select "all years" and then enter either your name or your dog's name (or both). You should get all your results and be able to count how many legs in each division you have.
