Motels for Punta Gorda Event?

So far the only choices is Motel 6 in Punta Gorda (unless someone has been there and it is ok I would rather not). I have made reservations for a La Quinta in Fort Myers. Anyone know of any other options - I have tried the Days Inn in Port Charlotte and the Best Western in PUnta Gorda - Both have 25 pound limits and the Best Western makes you stay in a smoking room to boot.
